Jonathan Snook posted a tweet about updating his Firebug shortcuts in the Firefox plugin, and noted it was different than for other plugins. I have been looking for this for a while, so I wanted to post it for all of you.
The problem is, the default shortcut (F12) is a default/common shortcut for your OS X Widget Dashboard. I wanted to keep it this way, but would get annoyed not having a quick keyboard shortcut to open Firebug.
Here’s how to do it:

This is awesome! i can’t believe I didn’t know firebug had keyboard shortcuts. I’ve always been painfully using the mouse. Now I can remap the problematic shortcuts FF has on OSX with some of my other extensions.
