National Internet Marketing Conference for Apartment & Multifamily Industry

JTI Media needed a revamping of their existing website for the 2009 Apartment Internet Marketing (AIM) Conference. The existing site was built on an on-demand, turnkey content management system that turned out to be difficult and costly to update. They turned to me to find a solution.

I provided a cleaner, content centric website design that proved successful over the course of their promotion and duration. The design was coded in standards compliant XHTML and CSS with unobtrusive Javascript behaviors where applicable.

The new site was also integrated into WordPress for content management and blogging features. Since they required some specialized content publishing, I worked to integrate free and multiple custom plugins as well as create processes to allow them to:

  • Restrict content to registered users
  • Accept custom registration fields to collect more data
  • Manage and export contact lists of registered users and newsletter subscribers
  • Share videos and slides using a custom video player and SlideShare

  • WordPress theme integration
  • WordPress plugin development
  • Website Redesign

Joshua Tree Interactive Media

“We're very pleased with Andy's work on our sites. His craftsmanship is excellent, and our sites get great feedback from users, and are easy for us to update and maintain. More than that, Andy Stratton is a wonderful professional to work with for non-web professionals. He handled our changes and new insights with aplomb and made it okay for us to learn as we went. He does great work and is a pleasure to work with and his services are cost-effective. I'd recommend Andy to anyone who asked. We loved working with him, and hope to work with him again in the future.”
